We’re looking for a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to support complex customer-driven fabrication work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on advanced programming, setup, and operation of CNC equipment where precision and problem solving are critical. The work is varied, technical, and suited for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision parts
- Develop and prove out G-code programs while optimizing cycle time and tool paths
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine tolerances and machining sequences
- Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods to support efficient production
- Inspect finished components and adjust programs or setups to maintain quality standards
- Perform machine adjustments and troubleshooting to resolve production issues
- Monitor equipment condition and coordinate preventative maintenance needs
- Follow shop safety standards and maintain organized work areas
- Stay current with machining practices through training and technical resources
Qualifications
- Strong experience with CNC setup, operation, and programming
- Proficiency reading blueprints and working with tight tolerances
- Working knowledge of G-code and manual program edits
- Ability to perform shop math including geometry and trigonometry
- Experience calculating feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters
- Familiarity with mills, lathes, grinders, and related shop equipment
- Plastics machining experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship
