Development and Communications Manager / Executive Assistant

We are a local nonprofit serving senior community members, and we’re seeking a Development and Communications Manager / Executive Assistant to lead our fundraising communications and support our Executive Director. This is a dynamic, hybrid role for someone who is organized, proactive, creative, and passionate about making a difference.
This position plays a key role in sustaining and growing our mission through donor engagement, compelling communications, and strong organizational support.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Development & Communications
- Create and manage direct mail fundraising appeals, email campaigns, and newsletters
- Develop engaging content for social media and other communication platforms
- Conduct donor research and assist with donor cultivation and stewardship
- Maintain donor records and utilize donor management systems
- Support overall fundraising strategy and initiatives
Event Planning
- Planning, coordinate, and execute nonprofit fundraising and community events
Executive Support
- Provide organizational and administrative support to the Executive Director
- Assist with projects, communications, and operational priorities as needed
Required Qualifications
- Excellent writing and communication skills (writing samples required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, self-directed, and dependable work style
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and encourage others
- Comfortable learning and using new software and technology
- Bachelor’s degree
Technical experience with tools such as DonorPerfect, Constant Contact, MySeniorCenter, Google Workspace, or similar systems is highly desirable. Website management experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Prior nonprofit experience
- Bilingual skills are highly valued
Work Environment
This is a position has some flexibility to work from home. However, the majority of hours will be spent in the office collaborating with staff and supporting organizational activities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
