Position title: Electrical Engineering Supervisor
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Summary:
The Electrical Engineering Supervisor leads and supports a team of electrical engineers and technicians in the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and products. This role combines leadership with hands-on engineering and actively participates in the development and continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures to support quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and guide electrical engineering staff to achieve project and organizational goals.
- Provide hands-on technical support in the design, prototyping, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical systems and products.
- Actively participate in developing, improving, and implementing engineering processes, procedures, and work instructions to support quality and consistency.
- Lead and contribute to root cause analyses and corrective actions for design or production issues.
- Review and approve engineering documentation, including drawings, schematics, BOMs, specifications, and test reports.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, manufacturing, quality, and project management teams.
- Ensure engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts across the electrical engineering function.
- Support hiring, training, onboarding, and performance evaluation of team members.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or technical leadership role.
- Proven hands-on experience in electrical design, prototyping, and testing.
- Experience creating, documenting, and improving engineering processes and procedures
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, etc.)
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, circuit design, and testing methods
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, AS9100D, etc
- Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive root cause investigations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and technical documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering and production environment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred, but not required

Pay: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
