Summary
All States Landscaping is seeking a talented Landscape Designer to develop mid to high-end residential outdoor living environments within our design-build division.
This role focuses on concept development, detailed 2D plans, and compelling 3D visual presentations. You will be designing complete outdoor spaces - including swimming pools, patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, fire features, boulder installations, and integrated planting layouts.
Engineering, stamped plans, and drainage liability are not part of this role.
Experience with 3D rendering software is strongly preferred, as 3D presentations are a key part of our client process. However, strong designers who are willing to learn and grow into this capability are encouraged to apply.
Estimating and budget awareness are preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive residential outdoor living concepts.
- Produce clear and colorful 2D layout plans for construction use.
- Create 3D renderings for client presentations.
- Design pools, sport courts, patios, retaining walls, structures, and elevation transitions.
- Integrate planting, lighting, and hardscape into cohesive plans.
- Participate in client consultations and design revisions.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs are buildable and aligned with scope.
- Designs must be construction-ready.
- Strong understanding of hardscape construction methods.
- Ability to design with grading and elevation awareness.
- Basic quantity take-offs
- Budget awareness
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in landscape design, particularly in outdoor living spaces.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
- 4+ years residential outdoor living design experience preferred
- Demonstrated portfolio of constructed projects required
- A degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Software Experience:
Structure Studios (VizTerra / Pool Studio) strongly preferred.

- Realtime Landscaping Architect
3D presentation capability is highly valued and part of our standard design process.
