Position Summary
The Underwriter will play a key role in evaluating the creditworthiness of new factoring clients and their account debtors, structuring transactions, and ensuring compliance with Tru Funding’s credit and risk management policies. This position works closely with executive leadership, operations, and support teams to facilitate efficient onboarding and deal execution.
Core Responsibilities
- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports for prospective factoring clients.
- Assess the creditworthiness of clients and their account debtors to establish appropriate credit limits.
- Conduct due diligence and risk analysis for new client onboarding.
- Prepare and review proposal letters, contracts, and addendums for factoring clients.
- Manage the sending, receiving, and reviewing of client applications and related documentation.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, collections, and AR/AP teams (located overseas) to ensure smooth deal processing and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive underwriting summaries and recommendations for the Credit Committee.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external banking covenants.
- Assist in the development and refinement of underwriting procedures and documentation standards.

- Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of underwriting experience in factoring, asset-based lending (ABL), or commercial finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, Excel, and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with Cadence (FactorSoft) or similar factoring software preferred.
- Knowledge of UCC filings, lien searches, and credit risk evaluation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
