Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Cincinnati, OH, for a Category Manager. The Category Manager will be responsible for developing strategic plans to drive sales, profitability, and customer engagement within assigned product categories. Daily responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, performing in-depth market analysis, optimizing assortment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and negotiating contracts. The role also includes tracking performance metrics, ensuring efficient procurement, and driving innovative category strategies to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Category Management to strategically manage product categories and maximize growth
- Proficient Analytical Skills to evaluate performance metrics, sales trends, and consumer behavior
- Experience in Contract Negotiation and Procurement to manage vendor relationships and secure advantageous terms
- Knowledge in Sales strategies and techniques to drive retail growth and enhance customer engagement
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems, including data analytics tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field required
- Previous experience in retail, supply chain, or category management is a plus
