MAGMAacademy Coordinator
We are seeking a proactive, strategic engineer or technically skilled professional to lead and elevate our customer education programs across North America. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on designing impactful learning experiences, experimenting with innovative ideas, and helping industry professionals grow.
In this role you will coordinate, develop and deliver high-quality training programs in both classroom and virtual settings. You will play a key role in shaping the long-term vision and strategy of our educational offerings, ensuring they remain relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry needs.
This role is intentionally structured as a steppingstone into management, providing meaningful opportunities to expand your leadership capabilities and shape strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Training Development, Innovation, and Leadership:
- Design and deliver engaging technical training programs that strengthen customer engagement and expand MAGMA’s training footprint.
- Develop new course formats, interactive workshops, and modern learning experiences that set MAGMA apart in the market.
- Optimize training content for virtual classes, ensuring accessibility, scalability, and high learner satisfaction.
- Identify emerging industry needs and proactively propose new training initiatives.
- Ability to teach all courses and fill in where needed.
- Collaborate with internal engineers and subject matter experts to enhance training quality.
- Coordinate trainers, schedules, materials, and logistics for all training activities.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery methods.
- Lead the planning and execution of our annual user group meeting, a 3-day 2-night event located offsite.
- Partner with our global training team to align best practices, share insights, and implement consistent training standards.
- Travel up to 10% for training events, conferences, and team collaboration to include occasional international travel.
Skills/Qualifications
Essential:
- 3-6+ years of experience in engineering or professional technical fields
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- B.S. in an Engineering or Technology
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Passion and desire for teaching industry professionals develop their skills and knowledge
Desirable:
- 1-3 years of MAGMASOFT® or any casting process simulation software experience
- Experiences in metal casting processes
- Teaching/training experience
