Financial Advisor
We are seeking a professional and ambitious Financial Advisor to acquire and deepen relationships with clients by providing comprehensive financial planning and advice to help individuals and families pursue their finance goals. You will also provide ongoing assistance through services that help clients accumulate wealth and safeguard their assets.

Job Description
We are seeking a personable and detail-oriented Financial Professional to provide a wide variety of financial, analytical and support services to clients under limited supervision. Before you start providing advise to clients and prospects you will need to learn Office policies/procedures, Financial Planning Software, Appointment Procedures and Proposal Rebalancing System. This may take 6-12 months+. We are a growing Independent Financial Advisory Office. As a Financial Profession, you will follow established procedures to perform standard tasks and resolve questions and problems. You will also maintain routine contact with clients and other team members to obtain, serve, clarify and provide facts and information as you project a professional image.
Additional tasks include:
Preparing Mary Jo for client and prospect appointment. This includes financial planning reports, performance analysis, tax snapshots, withdrawal analysis, Morningstar reports, and marking up changes in investment holdings (investment management).
Performing banking activities, including depositing checks, sending out checks and ACH/Wires to Clients.
Calculating required client withdrawals and other analysis for financial planning purposes.
Special projects as assigned
Helping with Insurance, in service, to our clients.
Generating custom client reporting and tax records.
Entering trades with instruction. (This includes one time and systematic)
Building relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service.
Providing office support including answering client questions, processing transferring paperwork, opening accounts, estate processing, updating cost basis, and resolving problems or inquiries. Scheduling and coordinating meetings, events, and appointments.
You may be responsible for certain tasks within the office such as compliance, advertising, or social media.
Establishing, maintaining and updating files, databases, records and compliance documents.
Following FINRA, METRO Financial Strategies, and Raymond James policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
You must possess a professional and service-oriented demeanor with pleasant and business appropriate manners. Work ethically and with integrity, maintains client and firm confidentiality and upholds a professional image with clients and the rest of the team. You much have excellent verbal communication and organization skills to prioritize and complete work efficiently. You must also have effective problem-solving skills to resolve routine client questions and help them achieve their financial goals with attention to detail and accuracy.

Business Attire
RJ and FINRA require all investment accounts be held in a RJ account for monitoring purposes
Most important: You will be exposed to personal and confidential information of our clients and of Mary Jo. METRO Financial Strategies and Raymond James expects that all confidential and proprietary information will remain private and unexposed. This confidential information includes: client information, Mary Jo’s personal information, team member’s personal information, emails that is sent on the Raymond James server, processes, and procedures. You may NOT remove from the office anything that has METRO Financial Strategies or Raymond James name on it. This includes any emails, client data, procedures, processes or Mary Jo personal information. METRO Financial Strategies and Raymond James will protect any confidential or client information under the full force of the legal system.
All linkedin profiles will need to be approved by Raymond James compliance before use.
Please note that we are a financial service company and all investments would be required to be held in an account with Raymond James.
Additional requirements for the Financial Advisor include:
- Minimum 5 years in financial services
- Valid Series 7 and Series 66
- Life, Health and Variable Annuity license or ability to obtain license within 3 months of employment
- Clean CRD/U4 record
- Working knowledge of technology and software planning tools sufficient to analyze and report financial data
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree or related professional certification a plus
- Business Attire
- Investment assets are required to be held in Raymond James Accounts
