Job Title: AI & Automation Engineer
Type of Position: Full Time (Remote)
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am to 6 pm PST
We are looking for a talented and versatile AI & Automation Engineer to join our team. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of data, artificial intelligence, and operations. You will be responsible for deploying AI-powered applications and assistants at scale, building process automations, and turning data into actionable outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and virtual assistants at scale across the organization
- Develop and maintain process automation workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Integrate LLM APIs and AI orchestration frameworks into production-grade systems
- Build and maintain data pipelines to support AI and analytics use cases
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business, product, and engineering teams to identify and solve automation opportunities
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve deployed AI systems for performance and reliability
- Document solutions, architectures, and processes clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Python skills for automation, backend services, and AI integrations
- Experience working with APIs, JSON, and system integrations
- Solid SQL skills and comfort working with structured data
- Experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into real-world applications
- Experience with prompt engineering and building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
- Experience containerizing and deploying applications (Docker required, Kubernetes a plus)
- Experience building workflow automations using tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI agents or multi-step AI workflows
- Experience designing data pipelines
- Familiarity with document automation (PDF, DOCX, Excel)
- Experience building internal tools or dashboards
