Position Overview: The Data and AI Solutions Engineer will play a pivotal role in advancing the Chamber’s AI-first transformation by designing and delivering intelligent, data-driven solutions that enhance productivity, improve workflow efficiency, and strengthen value for internal team members. This hands-on engineering role partners closely with business teams to discover opportunities, reimagine processes, and build scalable AI-enabled capabilities using emerging and modern technology. The position blends applied AI knowledge, strong data fundamentals, and engineering discipline with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. We welcome candidates who have developed AI or automation solutions independently or outside of their formal role and encourage applicants to share examples of their work or a portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders to analyze workflows, identify pain points, and define measurable outcomes aligned with Chamber goals.
- Map end-to-end processes, diagnose root causes, and develop redesigned workflows that leverage AI, automation, and intelligent orchestration.
- Translate business needs into clear solution requirements, user stories, and technical designs.
- Drive rapid prototyping cycles with business users and iterate quickly to deliver production-ready AI-enabled solutions.
- Supporting organizational change by partnering with adoption leads to provide training, documentation, and continuous improvement feedback loops.
- Design and implement AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, and M365 tools.
- Build automated workflows, including approvals, notifications, and system integrations, using connectors, APIs, and custom patterns.
- Define prompting strategies, grounding approaches, and evaluation frameworks for generative AI solutions.
- Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to drive adoption, build confidence, and support enablement across internal teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and platform teams to ensure that solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and responsible AI standards.
- Assess data quality, readiness, access boundaries, and suitability for AI use cases.
- Monitor solution performance, develop telemetry and logging practices, and support operational reliability.
- Maintain strong documentation for long-term supportability and governance compliance.
Qualifications: Required
- Minimum 4 years of experience designing and delivering workflow automation, AI-enabled process improvements, or intelligent orchestration solutions in a business environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading solution design, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end delivery of automation or applied AI capabilities with limited supervision.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting automations across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Power Platform, including advanced Power Automate patterns.
- Practical experience with low-code and automation orchestration tools such as n8n, Zapier, Workato, or Make, including multi-step workflows, API-based integrations, and error-handling patterns.
- Applied experience developing generative AI-enabled solutions, including prompt strategies, grounding approaches, evaluation methods, and solution testing.
- Strong understanding of data fundamentals, integration concepts, identity and access management, and API usage across modern SaaS platforms.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into actionable technical requirements and working solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI, data and automation concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to drive adoption, build confidence, and support enablement across internal teams.
Preferred
- Azure certifications such as Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, or comparable Microsoft cloud credentials.
- Experience building or extending custom connectors, integrating REST APIs, and developing reusable automation components.
- Familiarity with security, privacy, responsible AI, data governance, and enterprise controls for AI and automation.
- Exposure to Azure AI Services or Azure OpenAI for solution development.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for data transformation, automation logic, or validation tooling.
- Experience designing AI-enabled workflows using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, or other Microsoft AI orchestration tools.
- Experience working with Foundry platforms used for data integration, modeling, or AI solution development.
The salary range for this position is $134,475.00 to $180,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
