The Role:
Join ClearPlan as a Multi-Functional IT Administrator, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our virtual and cloud-based infrastructure to drive efficiency and innovation.
In this exciting position, you'll oversee Azure Virtual Desktop environments, manage key applications and databases, and provide essential IT support that keeps our teams productive. Collaborating closely with cross-functional groups including project managers, developers, and end-users, you'll ensure smooth operations across our Microsoft-centric tools while owning unique initiatives like our mobile "classroom in a box" for nationwide training.
This role offers the opportunity to blend technical expertise with real-world impact, from troubleshooting daily issues to potentially crafting insightful data visualizations in Microsoft Fabric, all in a supportive environment that values your growth and contributions.
What You Will Do:
- Manage and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including oversight of multiple host pools, virtual infrastructure, application servers, and SQL databases.
- Administer and support Project Portfolio Management (PPM) products from vendors such as Microsoft, Deltek, Oracle, and others, ensuring optimal performance and updates. NOTE: Prior user / admin experience for each product is not necessary, but candidate must be familiar with components of standard enterprise application architecture (client, app server, and database tiers).
- Handle standard IT support tasks, including basic ticketing, password resets, and troubleshooting for end-users.
- Provide administration and support for SharePoint and Teams environments within the Commercial Microsoft Cloud.
- Own the maintenance of student accounts and the "classroom in a box" setup, which includes managing 20+ student laptops and associated hardware for deployment to hands-on training sessions anywhere in the U.S.
- Potentially develop and support Microsoft Fabric artifacts, such as reports, dashboards, apps, and datasets, to enhance data-driven decision-making.
What You Will Need:
- Proven experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop, including host pools, virtual infrastructure, and associated servers (applications and SQL). Will also accept comparable experience administering legacy on-premise infrastructure.
- Proficiency in IT support fundamentals, such as ticketing systems, password management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong skills in SharePoint and Teams administration within Microsoft Cloud environments.
- Ability to manage hardware and accounts for training setups, including laptops and related equipment.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric for developing reports, dashboards, apps, and datasets.
- Past DOD clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with additional Microsoft Azure services or cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate).
- Background in educational or training technology support.
- Advanced skills in SQL database management or scripting for automation.
