Job purpose
At KAGE Innovation we see graphic design as a visual story that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create world class visual representation for both print and electronic media. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current software and be skilled in every step of the design process. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of marketing and brand and find the correct style and layout for every project.
Duties and responsibilities
- Design company logos, letterheads, brochures, presentations, promotional materials, and website elements.
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design with an established brand identity.
- Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Create multiple different versions of a similar product and send them through approvals.
- Keep up to date with the latest design trends by attending workshops, courses, and reading relevant material.
- Review finalized materials to be sure there are no errors.
- Work with internal technology software and hardware.
- Select fonts, colors, shapes, designs, styles, and layouts for projects.
Required Skills
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Five or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven creativity
- High level collaboration skills
- Time management skills to work on multiple projects at once and with various deadlines
- Attention to detail to ensure that all specifications are met and free of any errors
- Patience to send creative designs through multiple approval processes and often collaborate with several different people to get a job done
- Flexibility to be able to switch between projects or pivot quickly should the requirements of the project change
Qualifications
- · Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and or 5+ years’ work experience or equivalent in related field.
- · Proven high level software experience in Adobe and Microsoft products.
- · Proven proficiency with photo editing software. Photography skills a plus.
- · Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent listening skills.
- · Established skills with vetting and collaborating with outside vendors.
- · High level ability to work independently and to work in a dynamic team environment.
- · Working knowledge of content managing systems
- · Website script navigation – a plus
Working conditions
This position will be subject to extended periods in a seated position. Regular evening and weekend work in certain seasons are necessary, including differential shift work and occasional working outdoors.
Physical requirements
This is most commonly in a typical office setting. Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
