Hi just going to be very frank here. I have various trading programs pretty much all written in Rust. I have been working on some of them for ~4 years or so an I think they're pretty cool. I am manually trading a signal right now and working on some other things, so am looking for someone to come work for me on a few of these programs I've built. They are all in rust, as I said and kind of at that last 10% is 90% of the work.
The first one is a stock-only market making system. The idea is that if you want to be long n stocks, it would be better to market make them (assuming some minimum spread % and daily vol.). So this thing is 97% of the way there. But of course there are some entyr/exit conditions that are incorrect and it's not trading exactly the right way, as I want it to.
And then there is the primary system that I worked on for almost four years, that is sort of a brute force entry event checking system. Basically we iterate over every stock and check each bar duration for thousands of events and see how those trade. Then we check every combination of those, and each stock's events with others, etc. This system is designed to be infinitely scalable to guarantee it can find profitable trading events.
I am not fully working on these because 1) I am a bit tired of it and am interested in many things 2) working all market trading hours is somewhat difficult and 3) I want my life to have some meaning beyond just trading in the stock market which is pretty much all I've done professionally over the last 20 years.
I am at the tail end of getting an office at the address attached to this job so that is where the job will be.
You are required to know Claude Code very well; Rust can come second and these programs run on Linux servers, so you need to know that too. All basic software engineering stuff. I'm sure I am missing some important details. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Pay: $77,163.35 - $120,000.00 per year
