Position Summary
The Investment Analyst is responsible for monitoring current investments and performing research on new investments and asset classes. The successful candidate will be able to document and support all investment recommendations as part of our collaborative portfolio management process. To ensure success as an investment analyst, a candidate should be well-versed in investment theory and portfolio management, have a keen eye for detail, and be proactive in finding investment opportunities. A top-notch investment analyst performs well under pressure, possesses creative and analytical abilities, and can adapt their thinking to quickly evolving scenarios.
POSITION OVERVIEW
· Complete investment research projects (independently or collaboratively) as assigned by the Chief Investment Officer
· Compile due diligence reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
· Conduct research on the viability of adding new asset classes to client portfolios
· Monitor approved funds and recommend changes when necessary
· Liaise and network with fund managers and industry professionals
· Utilize analytical tools and applications to support the investment management process
· Monitor market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products
· Maintain documentation on current and prospective investment relationships
· Establish financial models and analyze relevant legal documents
· Create reports for senior management as required
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor the holdings of all client portfolios and recommend changes when necessary
· Manage the relationships of all third-party investment providers
· Maintain and increase the efficiency of investment applications
· Participate in Investment Committee meetings
· Prepare written commentaries on markets and investments
· Support advisor teams by answering questions related to allocations and investments
· Participate in client meetings as needed
· Assist with managing and trading client portfolios
· Conduct share class exchanges
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
· Advanced certifications are a plus
· Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
· Understanding investments, investment strategy, financial markets, statistics, and economics is a plus
· Must be able to use investment analysis software to create detailed reports
· Ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and accuracy of tasks
· Microsoft Excel and/or artificial intelligence power user is a plus
· Strong mathematical and numeric skills
· Ability to support recommendations with both quantitative and qualitative analysis
· Strong, proactive communication skills, both written and verbal

Tentative Hiring Timeline
We plan to keep this position posted through March 12. During the week of March 16, we will begin reviewing applications and scheduling initial interviews. Final interviews are expected to take place during the first week of April, with the goal of selecting a candidate in early to mid-April.
