Cabinet Engineer / Technical Designer
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Cabinet Engineer / Technical Designerto create accurate, build-ready drawings for cabinetry, millwork, and interior architectural details. This is a technical drafting role—not a client-facing designer role. You will support our design team by turning concepts into complete, accurate construction documents.
Key Responsibilities
- 3-5 years of experience in cabinetry engineering, millwork drafting, interior drafting, or technical design
- Produce drawings for custom cabinetry: plans, elevations, sections, shop drawings
- Draft interior architectural details including trim, millwork, wall elevations, and built-ins
- Create interior construction documents (tile layouts, RCP/lighting plans, dimensioned plans)
- Ensure proper clearances, reveals, hardware integration, and appliance coordination
- Review architectural plans, field measurements, and vendor specifications
- Update drawings based on redlines from designers and construction team
- Communicate with cabinet vendors and installers as needed for technical accuracy
- Maintain consistency and drawing standards across all MP360 projects
Requirements and skills:
- Proficient at AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Has an understanding of the process of creating construction documents, and can provide installation details for GC, superintendent, and/or subcontractors
- Proficient at Sketchup/ or similar rendering software
- Proficient with Adobe PDF
- Willing to learn details and become an expert on identified cabinet vendors, products, and materials options
- Openness and dedication to learning our internal systems for organizing and completing projects

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
