Overview: A Kolter Hospitality Group Sales Manager works with management throughout the hotel and the Company. They deliver service excellence to guests and customers by listening to their needs, analyzing information, and creating tailored proposals in a pleasant and professional manner. This position is responsible for negotiating and closing sales, selling, detailing, and servicing all customers for all social and catering events while exceeding sales targets.

Performance Expectations
- Solicit, negotiate and confirm new and repeat business through various efforts to maximize revenues to meet/exceed goals.
- Conduct regular site visits.
- Maximize revenue management by selling our need to fill.
- Negotiate and finalize contract and banquet event orders by meeting with clients.
- Research competing hotels, prospect and network to surface business.
- Utilize Meeting Planner surveys to follow up with all groups.
- Develop effective sales strategies to counter the competition to close business.
- Continuously review catering menus and prices with Executive Chef and F&B Manager to ensure we are offering a competitive and profitable menu.
- Prepare proposals and menus tailored to address and impress the client.
- Proactively solicit new catering and sales daily utilizing programs like Knowland, CVENT, Hotel Planner
- Attain/Exceed sales goals and profitability.
- Take initiative to solve problems by liaison with other hotel managers.
- Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, and annual goals.
- Develop business relationships which could result in additional sales or catering and new clients.
- Communicate accurate information for in house groups and functions to assist operations in servicing them properly.
- Lead weekly BEO meetings with Staff.
- Professionally represent the hotel at least 1 monthly community and industry organizations and events.
- Keep abreast of budgeted revenue goals, local events and develop action plans to achieve goals.
- Ensure all guest checks, payments, master folios and advance deposits are submitted to accounting after reviewing for accuracy.
- Follow up with clients after each function to ensure satisfaction
- Report any items in need of repair.
- Follow all safety procedures while working.
