The Associate, CVS Health Ventures position is a highly analytical role that supports the evaluation, structuring, and ongoing management of strategic opportunities and external equity partnerships that advance CVS Health’s financial, product, and customer experience objectives.
This is a hybrid role that will help support execution of structured equity arrangements, while also focusing on strengthening capital discipline, valuation rigor, portfolio governance, and operational effectiveness across the Ventures platform. The Associate will contribute financial analyses, market perspectives, and process rigor to support structured equity arrangements, portfolio engagement, and enterprise decision-making, working closely with internal strategy, finance, legal, and business partners. This individual will also be expected to support the portfolio of existing relationships and assist in developing new insights, quantitative analyses, and strategic perspectives to inform enterprise decision-making.

Core Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling and Quantitative Analysis:
- Lead financial modeling and valuation analyses to support structured equity arrangements, including warrants, convertible instruments and partnership-linked investments
- Develop and maintain comparable company analyses, market benchmarks, and financial perspectives to inform strategic opportunity evaluation
- Synthesize data-driven insights from analysis into clear, executive materials
- Ad Hoc Strategic Opportunity Evaluation:
- Organize and help manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities and existing relationships, including tracking status, documentation, and key insights
- Support the assessment of prospective strategic opportunities through analysis of business models, market dynamics, and financial considerations
- Proactively explore creative deal structures aligned with priority investment themes and value creation opportunities
- Portfolio Company Management:
- Coordination and support of portfolio company engagement, including performance tracking and strategic initiative support
- Work cross-functionally within the Ventures team and across CVS Health to prepare high-impact executive communication materials around relevant portfolio companies
- Capital Markets Relationship Management:
- Support capital markets and co-investment relationships by managing external communications, planning events, and facilitating recurring touchpoints
- Assist with business team engagement to build relationships and gain insight into strategic priorities and roadmap, identifying capital markets insights to address business needs
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to scaling and refining internal tools, templates, and processes that improve efficiency and consistency across the platform
- Project management of administrative and operational processes (e.g., CRM, documentation, reporting) in coordination with other parts of the team
- Administrative Support and Travel:
- Support administrative functions such as organizing meetings/events, coordinating logistics, and managing related communications
- 10-15% travel expected
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience (internships excluded)
- Experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate strategy, consulting, corporate development, or a related role that emphasizes financial analysis
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modeling and producing polished, executive-level level materials
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, valuation, and comparable company analysis
- Exposure to healthcare, healthcare services, or healthcare technology markets
- Experience supporting strategic equity partnerships or structured transactions (e.g., warrants, convertible instruments, or commercial arrangements)
- Self-starter with strong independent judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity among multiple workstreams
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence across functions at all levels of an organization
- Strong presentation skills, with experience developing clear, concise materials for senior executives, including familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Validated project management skills with an emphasis on integrating multiple work outputs into a unified deliverable
- Highly organized and able to provide positive leadership across multiple work streams in a fast-paced, complex working environment
- Demonstrates a high level of independent judgment and proactivity
- Demonstrated collaborative work style with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is
$101,970.00 - $222,480.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
