Our mission is to harness AI to help people forge deeper, more meaningful relationships. We’re starting with Sophia — an end-to-end agentic matchmaker that uses advanced language and computer-vision models to deliver highly tailored introductions. Sophia was founded by two successful serial entrepreneurs, incubated in their venture studio, and includes leading high profile founders as advisors and investors.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Chief of Staff — fast, resourceful, and relentlessly results-focused — to work directly with our founders and help bring Sophia from 0→1. As our first non-technical hire, you’ll execute across product, finance, marketing, recruiting, and operations. Think of this as a mini-MBA in startup life with deep founder mentorship and broad exposure to product, engineering, GTM and fundraising.
What You’ll Own
- Strategy & OKRs
- Partner with the CEO to set, track, and report on quarterly OKRs and annual goals; drive follow-through and cross-team execution.
- Market & Competitive Research
- Analyze market opportunities, vendor options, and competitive landscapes; produce concise, board-ready briefs and recommendations.
- Product Partnership
- Serve as a thought partner on product design, user research & feedback, and go-to-market planning; help prioritize features with business impact.
- Talent & Recruiting
- Lead early hiring efforts: sourcing, interview design, candidate experience, and onboarding to build a high-caliber team.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Help manage investor and advisory board communications and support external engagement
- Operations & Project Management
- Own cross-functional project plans and timelines (from tech evaluations, P&L modeling, vendor selections, Meta campaigns), create repeatable processes, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Special Projects
- Dive into whatever matters most: strategic partnerships, vendor negotiations, setting up operational tools, or quick experiments to validate growth levers.
Who You Are
- Early-career energy (1–5 years) — Seeking candidates with experience in Start-ups, high growth companies, management consulting, VC/PE, or other high-intensity environments.
- End-to-end project owner — Proven ability to drive initiatives and complete tasks to completion under tight deadlines and ambiguity.
- Highly curious & resourceful — You are exhaustive in problem solving, learn rapidly, and synthesize complexity with clarity of thought.
- Exceptional communicator & writer — Natural communicator comfortable running meetings, preparing executive-level presentations and working on product copy.
- Data-driven & detail-oriented — You sweat the details and bring rigor to every deliverable.
- Startup hustle — You thrive in ambiguity, pivot quickly when priorities shift, and aren’t afraid to do hands-on work.
