Role Description
Tequila de la Gente is seeking a Sales Representative based in the Greater Houston area to help grow distribution and build strong relationships with on-premise and off-premise accounts.
This role is remote but requires the candidate to live in the Houston area and travel regularly throughout Houston and surrounding counties for sales meetings, tastings, events, and account support.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing relationships, supporting distributor partners, executing brand activations, and helping drive awareness of Tequila de la Gente in the market.
This is a startup environment, so the ideal candidate is comfortable wearing many hats, working independently, and taking ownership of their territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop new on-premise and off-premise accounts in the Houston market
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and distributor partners
- Conduct tastings, trainings, and in-store / on-premise promotions
- Attend events and brand activations as needed
- Meet sales goals and territory KPIs
- Work closely with the founders and team to execute growth strategy
- Provide market feedback and help identify new opportunities
- Travel regularly within Houston and surrounding counties

Qualifications
- Experience in sales, account management, or brand development preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote, startup environment
- Ability to manage schedule independently and stay organized
- Willingness to travel frequently within the Houston area
- Knowledge of the spirits, beverage, or hospitality industry is a plus
- Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
