Position Overview
Spring Footwear Corp. is seeking an experienced Management Consultant to evaluate and enhance our product strategy, merchandising operations, and brand development processes.
This is a contract-based consulting engagement based in Pompano Beach, Florida, focused on delivering strategic insight, improving operational efficiency, and establishing scalable frameworks to support continued growth in the competitive footwear and fashion retail market.
This role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to assess current operations, identify opportunities, and guide implementation of best-in-class practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of product lifecycle management, including assortment planning, vendor coordination, production timelines, and inventory allocation.
- Analyze historical sales data, product performance, and consumer trends to identify opportunities for improved assortment balance, pricing strategy, and product positioning.
- Evaluate workflows across merchandising, product development, marketing, and supply chain to identify inefficiencies and improve cross-functional collaboration.
- Assess and provide recommendations to optimize vendor performance, sourcing strategies, and production processes.
- Review and advise on marketing initiatives, digital presence, and brand alignment to strengthen consumer engagement and brand positioning.
- Develop strategic recommendations to enhance product assortment planning, lifecycle management, and merchandising operations.
- Advise leadership on improving operational efficiency, production scheduling, and go-to-market execution.
- Recommend enhancements to marketing strategy, including digital merchandising, social media, and brand storytelling.
- Establish best-practice frameworks for merchandising, product planning, and internal processes to support scalability and consistency.
- Support implementation of approved strategies and monitor key performance indicators such as sell-through rates, inventory efficiency, and vendor performance.
- Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to internal teams.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries outlining findings, progress, and recommendations.
- Document processes, frameworks, and strategic guidelines to ensure long-term operational consistency and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience in management consulting, retail strategy, merchandising, or product lifecycle management.
- Experience in footwear, apparel, or consumer goods strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex initiatives and drive measurable business impact.
