This is a unique opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on, real-world experience contributing to the design, testing, and development of zip lines, aerial attractions, and structural systems used worldwide. Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Junior Mechanical Engineer role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle—from concept and modeling to prototyping and testing. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly motivated, and excited to work hands-on building real-world products.

Responsibilities
- Assist in product design and development using SolidWorks
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation
- Support prototype builds, including hands-on assembly, testing, and validation
- Perform basic engineering calculations (eg, load analysis, material selection, safety factors)
- Contribute to the development of test plans, reports, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to support project goals
- Assist in evaluating materials, components, and manufacturing processes
- Support compliance with quality standards and safety requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or near completion)
- 0–3 years of experience (internships or co-ops strongly preferred)
- Basic proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Willingness to work in a hands-on shop or lab environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Exposure to FEA or simulation tools, preferred
- Familiarity with fabrication, machining, or welding processes, preferred
- Interest in structural systems, amusement rides, or aerial attractions, preferred
Additional Information
This is a 6-month contract position, offering onsite work with a pay range of $24–$28 per hour, based on experience.
