Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting leadership with financial insights, and maintaining strong financial controls. The Controller will play a key role in helping guide financial decision-making and operational efficiency across the company.
The Controller will work closely with the owner and consulting team, while also leading the accounting function and overseeing financial processes for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
· Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to support operational efficiency.
· Manage and mentor two direct reports within the accounting/finance team.
· Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
· Collaborate with leadership to monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
· Ensure timely and accurate completion of audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.
· Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting systems.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
· 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred; candidates with 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment are strongly encouraged to apply.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
· Experience managing accounting processes and financial reporting.
· Ability to lead and support a small team while maintaining a hands-on approach.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Reporting Structure
· Reports directly to the Owner and Consulting Team.
· Responsible for managing two direct reports and providing overall financial oversight for the company
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
