Staff Accountant
Join our client’s dynamic finance team as a Staff Accountant and play a crucial role in managing the organization’s financial operations within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals with experience in large organizations.
Compensation: $30-33/hour
Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end closing activities for designated accounts with precision and timeliness.
- Respond promptly to email and phone inquiries, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to invoices, vendor payments, and account discrepancies; escalate when necessary.
- Analyze financial data to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Validate and input invoices, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors regarding accounting processes.
- Assist in preparing monthly AP metrics reports for management review.
- Participate in the development and delivery of training sessions on finance procedures across multiple departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Serve as a backup for accounts payables processes such as payments, wire transfers, and electronic requests.
- Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of accounting or financial operations experience within large organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Adaptability to fast-changing priorities and new processes.
- Flexibility and proactive attitude to support team needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of customer service experience addressing broad stakeholder needs.
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise accounting systems.
- Previous experience working at a large company.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to participate in in-person training for 2-3 days, with hybrid work options available post-training.
- No travel required.
