Overview
We are seeking an
Assistant Account Executive to join our Corporate Affairs Practice . In this role, you will support issues monitoring, reporting, and industry and public affairs research to arm the team with the best intel possible to s ecure the client’s desired outcomes successfully . You will also conduct industry monitoring to flag any trends, issues , and media coverage reports for clients , including during a crisis , to organize the team with necessary agendas, action items , and reports.
You w ill be deeply involved in crisis, reputation , and issues management situations requiring attention to detail a nd critical and analytical thinking skills. We seek an individual with prior experience , a strong interest in this field , and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing strategic counsel on messaging and communication s to help inform client strategies and recommendations .
- Execute issues management and crisis campaigns for clients.
- Execute public affairs, advocacy, and education campaigns for clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client affairs and trends to counsel clients on breaking news and socially or culturally sensitive topics .
- Support the development of crisis response strategies, reactive statements, FAQs , and other deliverables as needed .
- Produce monthly or weekly reports outlining key activities and initiatives.
- Provide analysis on key issues that are critical to a client’s needs .
- Promote and uphold Allison ’s core values; participate in agency-wide training and professional development programs.
Qualifications
- Assistant Account Executives at Allison typically have a t least 1+ years of experience as an account coordinator in crisis communications or an equivalent in a related field .
- Experience in an agency/strategic consulting firm, political office , public affairs, advocacy, law firm , or similar setting interest or background strongly preferred.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Works independently on assignments, as directed.
- Self-motivated , eager to learn , and enthusiastic about the work .
- Strong attention to detail .
- Takes direction well, asks clarifying questions , and follows through on required deadlines.
- Prior experience working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint , and Excel alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Proficiency in using media monitoring and data analytics tools like Muckrack , Critical Mention, Meltwater , and Cision .
- Proficiency in using Adobe, Canva, and other design tools.

Compensation
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $50K- $60K . Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors , including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
