Company Description
Warren Resort Hotels is a collection of properties across some of the West’s most popular destinations, offering a balance of comfort, quality, and value. Based in Santa Maria, CA, we focus on creating welcoming stays with strong service, well-maintained properties, and thoughtful guest experiences.
Each of our hotels has its own character, but we’re all aligned on the same goal: delivering a reliable, comfortable stay that guests can count on. As we continue to grow, we’re always looking for ways to improve how we operate and connect with our guests.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist to take ownership of our online presence across a portfolio of 16 hotel properties. This role is focused on driving visibility, improving conversion, and supporting revenue growth through thoughtful digital strategy and hands-on execution.
You’ll work closely with both Managers and the Revenue Team to bring promotions and need-period strategies to life, while also owning how our properties show up online: from websites and online travel agencies (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.), to social media and guest reviews.
This is a great fit for someone who understands both the analytical side of performance marketing and the creative side of branding, design, and content.
The position works closely with Revenue Management to implement promotions, optimize distribution channels, and capitalize on need periods. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, performance tracking, and continuous optimization across all digital touchpoints.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and continuously improve hotel websites, including layout, content, and user experience
- Oversee OTA (online travel agency) listings (photos, descriptions, positioning) to ensure properties are competitive and compelling
- Plan and execute campaigns across email, SMS, and social media
- Stay on top of social media trends and bring fresh, creative ideas to property content
- Monitor and respond to guest reviews, helping improve overall reputation and engagement
- Support SEO efforts to improve search visibility and drive qualified traffic
- Partner with Revenue Management to execute promotions and demand-driving strategies
- Track performance across channels (traffic, conversion, engagement, reviews) and adjust accordingly
- Help ensure systems are connected and running smoothly (website, PMS, channel manager, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3+ years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or hospitality marketing
- A good eye for design and branding, with awareness of current social and digital trends
- Comfortable balancing data-driven decision-making with creative thinking
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple properties and projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook; PowerPoint a plus)
Nice to Have
- Experience working with booking engines, channel managers, and property management systems
- Familiarity with reputation management platforms such as BirdEye, SOCi, or Yext
Why This Role
- Direct impact on performance across multiple properties
- Close collaboration with leadership
- Opportunity to shape both the creative and analytical side of the business
We’re continuing to build and refine our digital marketing and e-commerce strategy across the portfolio. While some systems and processes are already in place, this area has much more growing to do within our company. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to help develop it further, and we’re open to training the right candidate who brings strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate (Non-Exempt): $31 – $36 per hour (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonus opportunities
- Health insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid time off (PTO)
Location & Work Environment
This role is ideally based in Central or Southern California, with flexibility for hybrid or remote work depending on the candidate. Occasional travel to properties may be required.
