GRAPHIC DESIGNER - SIGN INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Sales and Project Managers to understand project requirements and objectives
- Creates conceptual designs and mock-ups for various types of signage, including outdoor signs, indoor signs, and digital displays
- Uses industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to develop detailed design layouts and specifications
- Incorporates branding elements, typography, color theory, and visual aesthetics into sign designs
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, materials, and production techniques to ensure designs are innovative and cutting-edge
- Works closely with production teams to ensure design concepts are translated accurately into finished products
- Review prototypes and samples to ensure quality and adherence to design standards
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously and meets deadlines consistently
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines is highly preferred.
- 3+ years’ work experience as designer in sign industry or related graphics field
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw (preferred)
- Experience with AI, Adobe Firefly and Flexi-Sign are a huge PLUS
- Knowledge of sign fabrication processes and materials is a PLUS
- Vinyl application, CAD (router), plotter, roll-to-roll, flatbed DPVG manufacturing yet another big PLUS
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of sign designs and projects
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition
- Ability to scale images and survey photos
- Working knowledge of camera ready and vector art and file extension types
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:
- Able to regularly and independently travel to and from workplace
- Regularly required to: Stand; walk; talk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and balance
- Must be able to occasionally move objects more than 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include: clarity of vision; and ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Pay: $22.84 - $28.85 per hour
