Industrial & Business Services Private Equity Fund
Location: New York (with North America & Europe focus)
We are partnering with a newly established, first-time private equity platform that has raised over $1bn in committed capital to pursue control buyout investments across industrial and business services sectors. The firm focuses on operationally intensive business models, with a particular emphasis on sectors benefiting from long-term structural tailwinds, including energy transition, utilities, and infrastructure services.
This is a unique opportunity to join an entrepreneurial, high-performing team at an early stage and play a meaningful role in shaping the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio.
Position Overview
The Vice President will be a key member of the investment team, responsible for leading transaction execution, supporting origination efforts, and driving value creation initiatives across the portfolio. The role offers significant responsibility, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to influence outcomes in a lean, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of control buyout transactions across North America and Europe
- Develop and evaluate investment theses in targeted industrial and business services sub-sectors
- Build and manage detailed financial models and oversee diligence processes, including coordination with external advisors
- Participate actively in deal origination, including sourcing opportunities and maintaining intermediary relationships
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives
- Support portfolio monitoring, board materials, and ongoing performance analysis
- Contribute to broader firm-building initiatives, including fundraising and investor communications
Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, including:
- Investment banking and/or top-tier consulting, plus Private equity or principal investing experience
- Strong transaction execution experience, ideally within industrials, business services, or adjacent sectors
- Demonstrated interest in operationally intensive investing and value creation
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skillset
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong communication skills and presence, with the ability to engage effectively with management teams and stakeholders
- High level of intellectual curiosity, ownership, and commercial judgment
