Provident Healthcare Partners (Provident) has an opportunity for highly motivated and talented individuals to join our sell-side M&A team for the summer of 2027. The selected individuals will assist our team of full-time bankers responsible for evaluating and analyzing the healthcare market, originating sell-side mandates, and assisting with the execution process.

Provident Healthcare Partners specializes in sell-side investment banking services within the healthcare services sector across the United States. Provident is one of the most active lower middle market investment banking firms in the country, having completed over 200 transactions in the healthcare service arena. For over twenty-five years, the firm has been dedicated to lower-middle market transaction advisory work with the primary motivation of our bankers to transform the organizations to which we are providing investment banking services. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provident is currently seeking highly motivated undergraduates for its Summer 2027 Internship Program in our Boston and New York City offices. The internship will begin June 7th and run for 10 weeks.
All interns begin their employment with a training session, which introduces them to our firm and our team-oriented approach in conjunction with teaching them the skills they will need – both technically and intellectually to succeed in a rapidly evolving market. Interns are exposed to a wide range of investment banking operations and the deal process throughout the program including:
• Performing industry research;
• Tracking healthcare transaction activity;
• Preparing marketing and valuation materials;
• Reporting to internal senior level management;
• Analyzing financial statements;
• Performing ad hoc tasks in support of the deal team.
Qualifications:
All applicants must have a graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028. A background in finance is beneficial but not required. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits:
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Work or classroom experience within financial analysis and accounting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Expected rate of pay for the position is $1,400/week.
