Position Overview
The Mid-Level Designer supports the planning, design, and execution of commercial furniture projects. This role works closely with the sales team, clients, architects, and project managers to develop functional and aesthetically aligned workplace environments.
The position is responsible for developing furniture layouts, product specifications, and presentation materials while ensuring designs align with project budgets, schedules, and client objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop furniture layouts and space plans based on architectural drawings and client requirements
- Create furniture specifications and product applications for commercial furniture projects
- Produce presentation materials including plans, finish palettes, and renderings for client review
- Work closely with the sales team to translate client needs into practical furniture solutions
- Coordinate with manufacturers to confirm product specifications, pricing, and lead times
- Revise drawings and specifications based on client and project feedback
- Generate installation drawings and supporting documentation as required
- Support project teams throughout design development, order entry, and installation phases
- Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in commercial interiors, furniture dealership design, or related field
- Ability to read and interpret architectural floor plans and construction drawings
- Strong understanding of commercial furniture systems and product applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- Experience working in a commercial furniture dealership environment
- Proficiency in CET Designer for furniture layout, specification, and rendering
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Familiarity with major commercial furniture manufacturers and product lines

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
