Position Overview

We are seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support our HVAC and Plumbing design team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within a dynamic consulting environment. This position offers exposure to all project phases—from schematic design through construction administration—and the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and layout of HVAC and plumbing systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and duct/piping layouts under senior engineer supervision.
Support the preparation of construction documents, technical specifications, and shop drawing reviews.
Coordinate designs with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure fully integrated project deliverables.
Conduct field visits to document existing conditions and support construction administration tasks.
Research new products, materials, and technologies to support energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
E.I. (Engineer Intern) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing fundamentals and familiarity with ASHRAE standards, Florida Building Code, and energy codes.
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit (academic or internship experience acceptable).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Desire to grow professionally within the consulting engineering field.
