The Role
FreshDirect is looking for a
Corporate Strategy Intern to join our dynamic team and help shape our long-term growth and competitive edge.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate strategy. You'll work closely with our strategy team, contributing to critical initiatives like strategic planning, market and competitive intelligence, and strategic project execution. We're seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong analytical abilities, and a collaborative mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you'll
support the strategic planning process by helping to organize cross-functional workshops, conducting research, and synthesizing findings into clear, actionable recommendations. You'll
assist in defining strategic objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). An important part of your work will involve
conducting comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential threats. You'll also
monitor competitor activities and help maintain our competitive intelligence database, translating complex data into insights that inform executive decisions. Finally, you'll
support the translation of strategic plans into concrete initiatives, assisting with project planning, milestone tracking, and monitoring progress against strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Support the strategic planning process: Help organize workshops, conduct research, and synthesize findings into actionable plans.
- Assist in defining strategic objectives and KPIs: Collaborate on setting measurable goals for key initiatives.
- Contribute to scenario planning and risk assessments: Help analyze potential future scenarios and associated risks.
- Conduct market and competitive research: Identify macro trends, industry shifts, opportunities, and threats.
- Monitor competitor activities: Track competitor strategies, performance, and market positioning.
- Synthesize complex data: Translate findings into clear, concise insights for leadership.
- Support strategic initiative execution: Assist with project planning, milestone tracking, and resource allocation.
- Monitor progress: Help track the organization's progress against strategic objectives and recommend adjustments as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing an MBA or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in corporate strategy, consulting, or related analytical roles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex information.
- Proficiency in research methodologies and data synthesis.
- Highly organized with strong project management support skills.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication abilities.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with some ambiguity.
