About Slipstream Music
Slipstream is the world's largest production music licensing platform with worry-free global rights. Our catalog spans more than one million tracks across four owned and operated brands – 5 Alarm Music, Jingle Punks, Cavendish, and Megatrax – covering everything from TV and film to advertising and digital media.
Our clients range from top-tier broadcast networks and global ad agencies to indie creators and everything in between. We make it simple to find the right sound, license it without friction, and use it anywhere.
We're a team of about 50 people across New York, Los Angeles, London, and remote. Our LA office is at the center of the entertainment industry – close to the studios, agencies, and creative community we serve.
The Role
We're looking for a Marketing & Sales Associate to join our LA team. This is a dual-purpose role: part business development support, part marketing executor. This is a full time position, working in office from Tujunga Village in Studio City.
On the sales side, you'll be a field presence for Slipstream – attending music events, sync conferences, and industry networking to represent the brand. You'll also work directly alongside our senior business development leads (TV, film, and advertising) in client meetings, helping pitch, present, and evangelize what Slipstream does.
On the marketing side, your job is execution. Less brainstorming, more building. You'll be creating web content, producing digital assets for social, ads, and the website, and handling copywriting across various channels. You won't be driving strategy from scratch, but you'll have real ownership of the work you produce.
This is a great role for someone who's comfortable both in a room with clients and behind a laptop making things. You'll learn the sync and music licensing business from the ground up, working shoulder-to-shoulder with experienced sales and business development leaders.
What You'll Do
Sales Support
- Attend music events, sync expos, and industry networking on behalf of Slipstream in the LA market
- Join senior sales leads in client meetings – TV networks, studios, brands, ad agencies – to help present and pitch
- Evangelize the Slipstream brand, catalog, and value proposition to prospects and partners
- Represent the company at conferences and trade events (some travel expected)
Marketing Execution
- Write and publish blog content that speaks to our creative and industry audiences
- Create digital assets for paid ads, social media, and the website (static graphics, banners, light motion)
- Handle copywriting for campaigns, emails, social posts, and other marketing collateral
- Collaborate with the broader team on campaign rollouts and content calendars
- Maintain consistency in brand voice and visual identity across assets
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, sales support, brand, or a hybrid role
- Proven interest in music, entertainment, and the sync industry
- Comfortable in client-facing and networking environments – you don't need to be a polished salesperson, but you should be able to hold a room
- Strong writing skills – you can write clearly, on-brand, and without being told twice
- Hands-on with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, AI agents or similar)
- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects without constant oversight
- LA-based with the flexibility to be out at events, not just at a desk
- Desire to be part of an in person, fast-paced team
- Knowledge of the music licensing or sync space is a plus, not a requirement
What You'll Get
- Competitive salary, 401k match, full benefits, flexible and unlimited PTO
- A front-row seat to the sync and music licensing industry, working directly with experienced, successful entrepreneurs
- Aggressively growing, well-financed business
- Real responsibility and ownership from day one – this isn't a coordinator role where you schedule things
