*Job Summary*
We are seeking a motivated PLC Software Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth with a family owned company in business for 60 years.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and programming industrial control systems to ensure efficient operations for our customers in the concrete industry.
*Responsibilities*
- Understand and support the design, implementation and troubleshooting of PLC programs using Beckhoff Automation software
- Read and understand different schematics including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support PLC systems with HMIs, SCADA systems, and other industrial control equipment
- Regularly interact remotely with customers and operators to diagnose software issues and provide real-time solutions.
- Participate in on-site installations, commissioning, and customer training
- Ability to analyze patterns and utilization to create company wide solutions in collaboration with other departments
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in industrial automation
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of active experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting and industrial automation
- Proficiency in at least one major PLC platform (e.g., Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure) Beckhoff experience a plus.
- Knowledge and recent practical experience with structure text, function blocks.
- Familiarity with HMI development and industrial communication protocols
- Verifiable experience with SQL, TwinCAT3, Delphi a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience delivering extraordinary service and managing exacting expectations of customers
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% - 50% of work time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
