Role Overview: Strategy Manager – Life Sciences
As a Strategy Manager, you’ll be accountable for delivering high-quality client work across multiple projects. You'll oversee day-to-day operations of project teams, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. This role involves balancing hands-on client engagement with mentoring junior consultants and aligning project outcomes with client expectations. You’ll also support practice growth through business development and thought leadership initiatives.
This position requires both strategic thinking and operational oversight, making it ideal for experienced consultants ready to take on greater responsibility. Travel may be required depending on client location—typically up to 20%.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project execution, including scoping, team coordination, and client communications
- Lead work planning, resource allocation, and timeline management across multiple projects
- Serve as the primary liaison for client engagement, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations
- Guide and mentor junior team members, providing real-time feedback and career development support
- Contribute to internal initiatives, business development, and proposal writing
- Engage in strategic discussions with client executives and deliver high-impact recommendations
- Identify and pursue follow-up opportunities to expand existing client partnerships
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, healthcare, or business-related discipline
- 5–7 years of relevant consulting or life sciences industry experience, preferably in pharma or biotech
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one or more of the following: product strategy, pricing and market access, go-to-market planning, or regulatory readiness
- Experience managing project teams, budgets, and client expectations
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to lead teams and mentor junior professionals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when presenting to senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel for client engagements as needed (typically 20%)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
