Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Grand Prairie, TX (Onsite)
About the Company
We are partnering with a well-established contract manufacturer with over 30 years of experience supporting customers from design through full-scale production. The organization specializes in precision components including wire harnesses, cable assemblies, control panels, power and battery cables, and electrical enclosures.
Serving industries such as Critical Power, Industrial Automation, Oil & Gas, Medical, HVAC, Food & Beverage, Aviation, and Defense, the company is known for its disciplined, audit-ready environment and commitment to quality, transparency, and operational excellence. Their facility reflects a “show-ready” standard, reinforcing their reputation as a trusted manufacturing partner rather than just a supplier.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys being on the shop floor solving real problems.
This is not a desk-only role — this individual will be deeply embedded in daily manufacturing operations, working closely with NPI, production, maintenance, and process improvement (PI) teams to improve workflows, troubleshoot issues, and drive operational performance.
While this role will partner closely with the Process Improvement (PI) team, it will not sit within that group. Instead, this individual will operate more like an operations-focused engineer, helping bridge the gap between engineering and production — ensuring initiatives are executed effectively on the floor and aligned with real-time operational needs.
You’ll play a critical role in optimizing processes, supporting equipment and facility improvements, and helping scale operations through lean principles and standardization.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Operational Execution
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles
- Partner with the PI team to implement and sustain improvements on the production floor
- Act as an operational bridge to ensure process changes are practical, effective, and adopted
Shop Floor Support & Troubleshooting

- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement real-time solutions
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to maintain efficiency and uptime
Equipment & Facility Support
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment
- Support preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives
- Provide technical direction and prioritization to maintenance teams
Engineering & Documentation
- Develop and maintain standard work, procedures, and training documentation
- Support engineering submittals, drawings, and manufacturing processes
- Ensure documentation aligns with quality and operational standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with NPI, planning, operations, and quality teams
- Support new product introductions and process readiness
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical/process-related issues on the shop floor
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
