Position Overview
Sr. Industrial Designer will work on a variety of projects including product innovation and consumer product development. Transform written and spoken concepts into compelling, manufacturable designs, ensuring alignment with brand identity, user needs, and market trends.
Mentor junior designers by guiding, supporting, and elevating team performance and output quality.
This role requires a high level of creative thinking, technical execution, and ownership. The Sr. Industrial Designer is expected to independently drive projects forward, consistently meet timelines, and deliver high-quality, differentiated design solutions with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full design process from concept through production with a high level of independence.
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring consistent progress, clear communication, and on-time delivery.
- Proactively identify and resolve design, engineering, or timeline challenges without relying on excessive direction.
- Mentor junior designers through feedback, guidance, and example-setting.
- Generate innovative, differentiated product concepts across multiple categories.
- Develop concepts that demonstrate clear differentiation in form, function, and user experience—not derivative of existing market solutions.
- Explore multiple directions early in the process to ensure strong optionality for internal review.
- Participate in and lead brainstorming sessions and concept reviews.
- Maintain consistent project momentum and meet expected timelines across concept, CAD, and development phases.
- Balance multiple projects efficiently, prioritizing workload to ensure deadlines are achieved without compromising quality.

- Develop production-ready 3D CAD models (SolidWorks) with strong attention to manufacturability.
- Ensure CAD files are accurate, organized, and suitable for engineering handoff with minimal rework required.
- Apply a strong understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, tooling, materials) during the initial design phase.
- Collaborate with engineering to refine designs efficiently.
- Create high-quality renderings and visual assets for internal, sales, and customer-facing presentations.
- Produce renderings that meet presentation-ready standards with minimal revision cycles.
- Clearly communicate design intent through sketches, renderings, and presentations
- Actively utilize team-standard tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Vizcom, AI-assisted workflows) to accelerate ideation and improve efficiency.
- Leverage digital tools to expand concept exploration and improve speed in early-stage development.
- Continuously seek ways to improve workflow efficiency and output quality.
- Research trends, materials, and competitive products to inform design direction.
- Conduct store and market reviews to identify opportunities and gaps.
- Translate insights into actionable design strategies and differentiated product solutions.
- Work closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams.
- Partner with overseas vendors to evaluate prototypes and resolve issues.
- Present concepts and progress to stakeholders with clear rationale and confidence.
