About
Belle Brands is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across our brand portfolio. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with monthly close, and ensuring proper accounting for inventory, wholesale and ecommerce sales, and operating expenses.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced consumer products environment.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across Belle Brands entities
· Prepare and post journal entries
· Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
· Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
· Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions
Accounts Payable & Receivable
· Oversee vendor invoice process and ensure proper coding and approvals
· Manage vendor payments and maintain vendor records
· Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections when needed
· Reconcile customer payments and ecommerce platform deposits
Inventory & COGS Accounting
· Track inventory balances and reconcile inventory movements
· Assist with cost of goods sold calculations
· Support inventory adjustments and periodic inventory counts
· Work with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate product costing
Financial Reporting
· Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and internal reports
· Support variance analysis and budget tracking
· Maintain schedules supporting financial reporting
Compliance & Controls
· Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls
· Assist with audit requests and financial documentation
· Support tax filings and coordination with external accountants
Cross-Functional Support
· Partner with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure financial accuracy
· Support treasury, FP&A, and M&A functions as needed
· Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
· Support finance leadership on special projects
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
· 1–4 years of accounting experience
· Experience in consumer products, ecommerce, or inventory-based businesses preferred
· Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
· Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc.) and wholesale businesses
· Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or beauty
· Experience with inventory accounting
· Experience with PE-backed businesses a plus
· CPA or CPA track preferred but not required
