Industrial Designer
Gregorius Pineo is a highly regarded creator and manufacturer of handcrafted furniture, lighting, and accessories based in Los Angeles. Our furnishings are available to design professionals through to-the-trade showrooms across the country. Our mission is to deliver the highest standard of excellence in furniture design and production, supported by excellence in service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and motivated Industrial Designer to join our team.
The Role
The Industrial Designer works closely with our Product, Product Development, and Production Departments to support the creation and documentation of our collection. This is a hands-on, in-person position at our Los Angeles area studio.
Responsibilities
- Create technical drawings for product development, documentation, and custom products
- Develop and maintain product supportive materials
- Support custom quoting, order processing, and order maintenance
Qualifications
- Academic background in furniture design and/or interior design
- Mastery of SolidWorks or Rhino 3D modeling software
- Working knowledge of KeyShot rendering software
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced skills in Illustrator and InDesign
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office suite
- Knowledge of materials and processes associated with furniture manufacturing, including lighting, case goods, and upholstery
- Basic photography skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with solid time management
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
- A collaborative spirit with qualities of dependability, reliability, and personal accountability
- Self-starter who also thrives in a team environment
