Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Strategy and Operations Lead to own the identification and launch of new US market verticals for Williams
Racing.
Formula 1 is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, and Williams Racing is moving decisively to capture that momentum. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role focused on building new revenue streams and audience touchpoints from the ground up — spanning fan experiences, live events, immersive activations, STEM-inspired programming, and brand partnerships. You will work closely with senior leadership, including C-suite stakeholders, to define strategic direction and drive initiatives from concept through to commercial
launch.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end scoping and launch of new US verticals from fan experiences and live events to immersive brand activations and STEM-inspired programming- Analyse the US sports, entertainment, and experience economy to identify whitespace opportunities for Williams Racing to grow its fanbase and commercial footprint
- Map and evaluate the competitive landscape across fan engagement, experiential events, and sports-adjacent entertainment to inform strategic direction
- Lead hypothesis-driven research (quantitative and qualitative), including market sizing, audience analysis, consumer interviews, and concept testing with US audiences
- Build robust operating and financial models to evaluate the commercial viability of new verticals and inform investment decisions
- Translate insights into clear strategic recommendations and executive-level presentations, driving these through to execution
- Develop and manage cross-functional project plans to ensure seamless delivery of new vertical launches across multiple workstreams
- Proactively identify and mitigate execution risks, escalating where appropriate
- Define and track KPIs/OKRs for each new vertical, building dashboards to measure performance and commercial impact
- Serve as a primary point of contact for US-based partners including event operators, venue networks, and brand collaborators as new verticals scale
Key Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or investment banking, with direct exposure to US market entry, new vertical launches, or experience economy businesses
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and manage senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment
- Understanding of the US sports, live events, or fan engagement landscape is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical capability with experience in data-driven decision making, market sizing, and hypothesis testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to C-suite audiences
- Advanced skills in financial and operating modelling, data analysis, and insight generation
- A builder's mindset comfortable with ambiguity and energised by creating structure where
none exists
- Strong relationship-building skills and a highly collaborative approach
- Highly organised with excellent prioritisation and time management
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in a relevant strategic or operational role
- Background in consulting, strategy, or financial analysis strongly preferred
- MBA or equivalent qualification is advantageous- Experience working within sports, entertainment, live events, or fan experience businesses is highly desirable

Additional information
- Travel across the US will be required as new verticals scale
Salary: $150,000 – $174,000
You will be eligible for an annual performance-based, discretionary bonus.
