Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in New York, NY, for a Designer specifically for the Love Knits NYC brand. As a Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing Knit Tops designs, creating sketches and prototypes. You will also research emerging trends, material innovations, and customer preferences to ensure designs meet both aesthetic and market demands. The role includes managing design projects from ideation to final execution while maintaining alignment with brand ethos and standards.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in Sketching, Textile Design, and Concept Development
- Proficiency in Design Software including Adobe Creative Suite as well as AI
- Knowledge of Fashion Trends, Fabric Properties (including correct usage) and Production Processes
- Strong Communication, and Project Management abilities
- Previous experience in Knit Tops design is required - specifically in Junior Market
- Proactive problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field, Associate degree accepted based on work experience
