Job purpose
- Seeking a detail-oriented BOM Specialist and Design Engineer to join our Engineering team, where precision meets innovation. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on technical accuracy and enjoys working at the intersection of design and manufacturing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Generate and maintain Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) directly from CAD models using PLM systems and design software.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure BOM accuracy and completeness throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Review and validate part specifications, quantities, and assemblies to prevent manufacturing errors.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance to optimize BOM structures.
- Perform design analysis and contribute to engineering change management processes.
- Maintain organized documentation systems and ensure version control for all BOM-related deliverables.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by providing accurate material planning data.
- Identify opportunities for standardization and cost reduction through BOM optimization.
Qualifications
Qualifications Preferred:
- 3+years of experience working with Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM), CAD systems, and MRP.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Qualification Required:
- Excellent organizational abilities with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

This is a day shift on-site position with normal working hours Monday through Thursday, 6:00 – 4:30 or Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30. Additional hours may be required in peak seasons.
Pay: $49,000.00 - $58,240.00 per year
