About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to develop their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, reports, and records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Respond to internal and external audit requests and assist with audit preparation
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with accounting software
- CPA candidacy or plans to pursue CPA licensure
- Familiarity with tax regulations
- Experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
