The Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer, Vitality US, is a Vice President level strategic leadership role and a senior, trusted partner who operates as a force multiplier for the CEO and the executive team in a fast growing, outcomes driven position. This role is central to translating US strategy into disciplined execution across a complex environment that spans health plans, employer solutions, strategic partners, coaching services, and a global parent organization.
The CoS helps ensure that Vitality US delivers on its mission to improve health outcomes through data driven behavior change, blending high‑tech (digital, AI) and high‑touch (coaching, services) models, while scaling profitably, integrating acquisitions, and maintaining strong alignment with Vitality Group.
This position is ideal for a highly analytical, strategic and execution oriented leader with excellent judgment, executive presence, and the ability to operate seamlessly across strategy, operations, M&A, and leadership enablement.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Enterprise Strategy, Growth & Execution
- Partner with the CEO on enterprise strategy, annual operating plans, and multi‑year growth priorities
- Translate strategy into clear, measurable initiatives aligned to outcomes, revenue growth, and client impact
- Track progress on priorities (e.g., growth, innovation, margin, integration) and proactively unblock issues
- Support strategic initiatives including health plan partnerships, employer growth, product expansion, and strategic partnerships
Operating Rhythm & Leadership Cadence
- Design and run the CEO's operating cadence, including ELT meetings, strategy days, and governance forums
- Set agendas, synthesize inputs, and ensure decisions, owners, and follow‑ups are clearly captured and executed
- Establish disciplined decision making and escalation mechanisms
Executive Team Effectiveness & Cross‑Functional Alignment
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO and senior leadership team
- Drive alignment across product, technology, clinical/coaching, sales, operations, finance, and shared services
- Help clarify roles, decision rights, and interfaces as Vitality US continues to scale and integrate new capabilities
- Resolve cross‑functional friction and ensure momentum on shared priorities
M&A, Integration & Transformation Support
- Support M&A activity, including diligence coordination, executive synthesis, and integration planning
- Help drive post-acquisition integration to ensure strategic intent, cultural alignment, and execution discipline
Board, Group & Stakeholder Support
- Support preparation of board and investment committee materials, executive narratives, and performance updates
- Coordinate inputs across leaders to ensure clear, concise, and consistent storytelling
- Serve as a key interface point with stakeholders, ensuring alignment while advocating for US priorities
Communications & Enterprise Narrative
- Help shape and reinforce the enterprise narrative - strategy, differentiation, and impact
- Draft and refine CEO communications, presentations, and talking points for internal and external audiences
- Ensure consistency of message across leadership forums, client engagements, and major initiatives
Special Projects & CEO Proxy
- Lead or support high‑impact, ambiguous initiatives on behalf of the CEO
- Conduct rapid analysis, synthesize insights, and recommend actions grounded in data and outcomes
- Represent the CEO as a proxy when appropriate, carrying their intent, priorities, and decision logic
Pay Range: $180,000 - $200,000 annually
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, corporate development, healthcare, or senior leadership roles within the healthcare or wellness industries.
- Experience working closely with C‑suite executives and boards, ideally in healthcare, digital health, or insurance adjacent sectors
- Strong strategic capability paired with hands on execution and follow through, strong bias towards action and results in an evolving healthcare landscape.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to distil complexity into clarity.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment. Ability to navigate complex dynamics with humility and influence, prioritizing team success over personal credit.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in ambiguity and change
- Bachelors degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Health, Organizational Development or something similar.
