How would you like to work in a place where your contributions and ideas are valued?
A place where you can serve with compassion, pursue excellence and honor the voices of senior adults?
At Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, our mission is simple, yet powerful: Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, Inc. is a Christian ministry providing exceptional services to enhance the quality of life for senior adults.
We are proud to have staff that dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.
We are a leading nonprofit healthcare organization with campuses across Georgia, and we're seeking a dedicated Admissions & Marketing Specialist with a background in healthcare to join our team at the Quitman, GA campus. This vital role requires an individual with healthcare experience and the ability to apply clinical expertise to our resident admissions and marketing outreach efforts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with this type of previous experience.
You will work in collaboration with the Admissions Coordinator, as well as the Nursing Team, to facilitate a seamless admissions process across our full continuum of care, including long-term skilled nursing, personal care, and independent living. This is a rewarding opportunity to leverage your clinical licensure in a high-impact role focused on community relations and helping prospective residents transition into our care.
As an important member of the campus team, the Admissions & Marketing Specialist will help to implement Presbyterian Homes of Georgia’s ongoing philosophy and strategy as a Christian based organization that provides exceptional care and services for senior adults.
Examples of Duties Performed (overview):
- Clinical Admissions Screening: Conduct initial clinical screenings and assessments of potential residents (hospital, home, or community) to determine appropriate placement within our skilled nursing, personal care, or independent living levels of care.
- Admissions Process Facilitation: Work alongside the Admissions Coordinator to manage the admissions pipeline, ensuring all clinical and financial paperwork is complete prior to and on admission day.
- Interdisciplinary Liaison: Serve as the critical link between the marketing/admissions department and the Nursing Team, communicating clinical needs, physician orders, and necessary care requirements for a smooth resident transition.
- Marketing & Outreach Support: Participate in marketing events, community outreach, and facility tours, acting as the clinical expert who can confidently answer questions about our services and quality of care.
- Census Development: Build and maintain professional relationships with key referral sources, including hospital discharge planners, social workers, and physician offices, to generate consistent admissions.
Requirements & Experience (overview):
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Georgia is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living.
- Proven experience in admissions, marketing, case management, or utilization review within a healthcare environment is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills, with the ability to build rapport with families, residents, and referral partners.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) such as Point-Click-Care and admissions software.
- Customer-oriented approach with a professional yet approachable style
- Knowledge and understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay and Third Party reimbursement.
- Knowledge of Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing regulations relating to Admissions
- Knowledge of the Senior Living & healthcare environment (Independent Living, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Personal Care)
- Ability to create a calm and peaceful environment
- Very detailed and organized.
- Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment
- Capable of creating and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, family members, outside facilities, department heads, and fellow staff
