Description
An Engineer I is an entry-level position on the path to becoming a Project Engineer or Design Engineer. You will work under the supervision of a manager and an experienced project engineer. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical components of a project. While working under the supervision of a senior colleague, you will also contribute to live engineering projects in order to help project teammates complete the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Become a contributing member of a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Develop insight into engineering duties concerning the design of conveyor systems.
- Acquire knowledge of codes, standards and specifications associated with material handing design.
- Develop proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D CAD Software.
- Perform ballooning and dimensioning of drawings as assigned.
- Provide technical design support to engineering and field teams.
- Review drawings and check for errors prior to customer review.
- Prepare detailed reports to demonstrate technical progress and accomplishments on projects.
- Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the business.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Experience: 0 – 1 year (internship preferred if under 1 year)
- Familiarity with MS Office plus 2D and 3D CAD Software (Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD preferred, but not required)

- Work schedule: Avg. 45 plus hours per week, which may include nights and weekends, as required to meet deadlines.
