We’re partnering with our client, a leading software-focused firm based in Chicago, to hire a Business Analyst. This is a highly visible, hands-on role supporting technology, data, and AI initiatives across the firm. You’ll partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance systems, optimize workflows, and help scale AI and automation capabilities across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and optimize the firm’s CRM and market data platforms, managing user access, data integrity, vendor relationships, and ongoing system enhancements across a broad set of tools
- Create and maintain reporting and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights, while ensuring consistency and accuracy across datasets used by investment and operations teams
- Partner cross-functionally with business users, internal tech teams, and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, improve workflows, and enhance overall system performance
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new technologies by gathering requirements, analyzing current processes, and coordinating vendor research, demos, and implementation efforts
- Build and deploy AI-driven and automation-based solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and support scalable growth
- Assess existing workflows and data processes to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and implement more efficient, long-term solutions
- Assist in vendor oversight, including evaluating performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting contract negotiations and renewals
- Support change management efforts by developing training materials, guiding end users, and driving adoption of new tools and processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field preferred)
- 2 years of experience in a data, analytics, or technology-focused role within a professional services environment
- Hands-on experience with a CRM system (i.e. Salesforce)
- Exposure to AI tools with an interest in leveraging them to solve business problems
- Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets, pivot tables, and complex formulas
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or workflow automation tools
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
