ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking an experience Senior GIS Developer to join Peraton’s First Responder Solutions team delivering mission-critical public safety systems used by major cities and agencies nationwide. As part of our CommandPoint CAD platform development, you will build secure, high-availability dispatch and emergency response software. You will contribute to real-time call-handling, incident management, resource routing and mapping integration that supports law enforcement, fire, and EMS operations. You will work with geospatial data, mapping tools, and interoperable data-sharing frameworks. Your work will directly impact public safety and first responders across jurisdictions, helping communities respond to emergencies quickly and reliably.

This role may be performed remotely, though candidates located in or willing to work on site in Brooklyn, NY are preferred.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience or a Master’s degree and 6 years of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent and 12 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Strong experience developing applications using C# and modern .NET technologies
- Must have experience working with ESRI and ArcGIS platforms, including building, analyzing, and maintaining geospatial data solutions
- Must have experience with GIS concepts including mapping, spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data visualization
- Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
- Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and version control systems such as Git
- Experience with testing, debugging, performance tuning, and code quality practices
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative, cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ArcGIS APIs (JavaScript, Python, or ArcGIS Pro SDK)
- Experience with spatial databases such as PostGIS or enterprise geodatabases
- Experience with cloud GIS platforms or services
- Experience building web based GIS applications
- Experience with WPF or desktop GIS tools only if truly required
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
