About This Role
Our client is a transformative, well-funded semiconductor foundry advancing the state of the art in 3D heterogeneous integration, chiplet-based architectures, and multi-component microsystems. Backed by significant funding from government and strategic partners, they're building foundational capabilities in advanced packaging and integrated design infrastructure.
They're seeking a motivated Process Engineer to support their process development team in advancing cutting-edge semiconductor packaging and integration technologies. You'll work on hands-on process development, characterization, and optimization - learning from industry veterans while contributing to products that reshape the microelectronics landscape.
What You'll Do
- Support process development activities in fab and integration environments (200mm, 150mm wafer scales)
- Collaborate with senior engineers on process characterization, design of experiments, and yield improvement initiatives
- Conduct hands-on work with semiconductor processing equipment and metrology tools
- Participate in process troubleshooting and root cause analysis using structured methodologies
- Document processes, maintain SOPs, and communicate findings across cross-functional teams
- Contribute to data analysis and process control initiatives
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 1–2 years in a semiconductor fab environment, research fab, or national lab setting
- 200mm or 150mm wafer processing experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor processing tools (etch, deposition, lithography, metrology)
- Basic Python programming or scripting experience
- Familiarity with SPC, DOE, or basic process control concepts
- Understanding of semiconductor device physics and fab operations
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Clear communication and collaborative team attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with JMP, SQL, or data visualization tools
- Familiarity with APC, FDC, or advanced process control
- Master's degree with 1 year of lab/fab experience
