Pricing Analyst / Cost Analyst (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst / Cost Analyst to support data-driven pricing decisions across our organization. This role focuses on cost analysis, market benchmarking, and pricing strategy to help optimize margins and maintain competitiveness.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience working with large data sets, and the ability to translate financial and market data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Cost & Price Analysis
- Analyze historical pricing, customer trends, and internal cost data
- Identify cost variances, pricing trends, and margin improvement opportunities
- Evaluate product cost structures to support accurate and competitive pricing
Market & Competitive Benchmarking
- Research and maintain market and competitor pricing data
- Benchmark similar products against industry standards and competitor pricing
- Support pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and customer expectations
Financial & Data Insights
- Apply accounting and financial principles to interpret cost and pricing models
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in cost allocation and pricing methodologies
- Work with large data sets to uncover trends and insights
Reporting & Cross-Functional Support
- Prepare clear, data-driven reports and pricing recommendations
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to support business decisions
- Present findings in a structured and easy-to-understand format
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in cost analysis, pricing analysis, or financial analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, formulas, reporting)
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
