Product Designer - Colchester, IL
- Salary Range: 65,000 - 75,000

CAD Designer supporting new product development through Creo modeling, manufacturing drawing creation, design updates, and prototype-to-production support.
Job Requirements:
- Two-year degree from an accredited CAD program
- 3+ years of CAD and drafting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Creo software
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes
- Driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- Agriculture industry experience
- Experience supporting designs from prototype through production
- Experience creating models and drawings from sketches, written instructions, verbal direction, and site visits
- Experience calculating dimensions and tolerances
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present models and drawings for new product designs
- Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies and resolve current issues
- Create accurate models and drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, written instructions, and site visits
- Create applicable dimensions and calculate required tolerances
- Provide timely updates on design completion and workload
- Manage and organize all models and drawings, including file storage, project folders, and revision updates
- Confer with design engineers on product design and tooling to support efficient production methods, cost targets, and feasibility
- Support new designs from prototype through production
- Support 5S + 1 activities
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, keyboards, telephones, and scanners
- Ability to read computer screens, drawings, sketches, and written materials
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work in office, R&D shop, production floor, and field environments
- Ability to work a non-standard schedule when required
- Ability to use required PPE in manufacturing and field environments, including safety footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection
